No need to ask yourself these questions anymore. One of the most common points of anxiety that developers face before an interview is: Have I solved enough practice questions? Could I have done more? There’s so much material to cover, and we’re seeing developers spend their time combing through hundreds of interview questions and not really solidifying what they just learned. The process of preparing for coding interviews is anxiety-inducing for many developers and it’s easy to see why. ![]() You should know the data structure inside out, and what algorithms tend to go along with each data structure. You can read about what I think about these interviews at the end of this article. Data structures most frequently used are arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, hash-sets, hash-maps, hash-tables, dictionary, trees and binary trees, heaps and graphs. It should be of no surprise that I am no fan of algorithm-heavy and non-practical interview questions with exotic data types like Red-Black trees or AVL trees. Study up on as many data structures as possible. ![]() Just as an example, if you had an interview with Google coming up, they put right on their career page that interviewers should: Array Interview Questions What is array traversing array ( C/C++) Find the smallest and largest number in array Find second smallest element in array. Sure, there are a lot of resources like blogs, videos, short tutorials, even practice questions on sites like LeetCode, but before you know it, you realize there’s way more that you need to cover than you initially thought and you spend more time searching for it than actually studying. We will keep adding more data structure and coding interview questions to this list. For example, if my string is 'uhsnamiH' then my result will be 'Himanshu'. ![]() 3) Write an algorithm to reverse a string. You decide it’s a good idea to refresh yourself on data structures. Average-case: f (n) It is defined by the average number of steps taken on any instance of size n. Coding interviews don’t have to be nerve-wracking
